WHAT is causing all the recent/ past few years of knife crimes by our younger members of society, many of whom are just into their teens? Upbringing/ drugs/ social deprivation?
Why then did this culture not arise in years past, during the first/ second world wars, where many families and children were subject to the unbearable pressures of their time?
One answer: respect, as to their family/ social structure.
Even in my early years (1970s) being 21 and starting my married life off, no continuous/ knife crimes were happening, especially by the youngsters of society, unlike today.
This social ‘sickness’ needs to be stamped out by our governing system or it will only get worse.
Even with all the smartphones, TV and computer options available to people today, it seems the respect as to their social/ neighbourly interaction has severely lost its meaning, substance abuse is one of the main reasons, plus fines/ sentences as to criminal activity are far too low.
Is this the new age social pandemic of evil acts? Governments/ authorities have to find a cure, or this pandemic will only spread.
