WHAT is wrong with people from Hoylake and Meols?

For it seems none are good enough to be chosen by our political parties to represent us.

Gone are the days when we would bump into our local councillor at the shops, in the library or at the doctors.

In the not too distant past, we would be able to raise our concerns directly with them and get answers, help or advice.

Instead, now, we have representatives who are seen rarely and usually only then at election time.

'Representatives' who use the genuine issues in our community for political point scoring in the Town Hall instead of seeking solutions and improving the place where we (but not they) choose to live. Hoylake beach anyone?

The next time I vote (and I have voted every year since 1975) it will be based only on who is local and who does a good job.

National or party politics won’t come into it - they can’t hide behind their party any longer.
