A gentleman in his 80s enjoying his weekly meet up with a lifelong friend was making steady progress along the narrow paths that cross Thurstaston.
Unknown to either, a female runner was behind them progressing the same route.
Without stopping she brushed past frightening both walkers to the extent that they struggled to retain their grip on the muddy path.
The incident reminded me of the many times cyclists and runners have done the same to me.
Fitness and enjoyment of the countryside is for all.
