WITH recent cutbacks proposed by Wirral Borough Council to essential services, could I propose to the council that they introduce a ‘citizen suggestion scheme’.
We have a pool of some 300,000 brains on Wirral which if asked, I am sure, could provide a wealth of ideas to assist in the financial dilemma the council finds itself.
Industry uses the creative power of its workforce through suggestion schemes to streamline and improve its business operations so why not Wirral Borough Council?
What puzzles me is how were all the services we have now provided for 30 or even 50 years ago with a lot less housing and ratepayers?
