REFERENCE the letter last week re Stop the Felling, I would agree that also here in Bromborough one hears daily the ‘whine of the chainsaw’.
One wonders if the next generation will ever have a green natural wooded Wirral to play and explore as we did as youngsters or just a continuous urban sprawl. On a more optimistic note, 1500 new saplings have been recently planted Eastham Country Park as an extension to the existing woodland.
Well done to all who were involved in this venture as one small step to help restore the chainsaw massacre of Wirral’s trees and natural habitat.
