WITH regard to Beach Walker’s letter in this week’s Globe referring to ‘rotting hulks’ on the foreshore near Sheldrakes, it is my opinion, and that of many others, I think, that these are an intrinsic part of the scene just there.
If there were trucks/cars/ caravans there, I would agree that they should be removed.
I am not familiar with the situation on Meols Parade, but from your photo it appears that the boats concerned are not actually on the shore itself, and therefore may constitute a problem.
It is my hope that the Sheldrakes foreshore remains as it is.
