WIRRAL is a fantastic place to live.

There is a wealth of places to walk locally which has been so welcome during the past and present lock down. My question is: why do some people insist on turning various parts of the Wirral into a rubbish dump?

Whether I am walking by the sea, in a park or simply walking into Birkenhead there is rubbish everywhere. Much of the waste could be recycled or simply put in the nearest bin.

There doesn’t seem to be any pride in the environment.

Another point I would like to make is regarding dog mess. There are many responsible dog walkers who clear up their dog mess, but there are equally many who don’t.

Dog waste bags are everywhere, on the ground, verges and hanging in trees.

If these dog owners can’t be bothered to pick up after their dogs they would be better off not using a bag which will take months to decompose.

Come on all take some pride in your environment and town and do your best to keep it clean.
