IN last week's Globe there was an article with regards to good efforts being made by Wirral Borough Council to clear boats from Meols Parade that had not been to sea for many years with some in a state of serious disrepair & not sea worthy.
This action said being pursued by councillor Andrew Hodgson, Chair of Wirral's regulatory and general purposes committee.
I don't know if this is also underway but could I request that WBC aforementioned committee also cast an eye on the rotting hulks and sundry unseaworthy boats on the foreshore below 'Sheldrakes' in Lower Heswall.
It is areal eyesore here in this graveyard of boats a blight on our beautiful Wirral Coast.
I am sure the public would not be able to leave old cars, trucks or caravans to rot away on the beach here without any action being taken to remove, so why do WBC allow discarded boats to litter the shoreline here?
