WHY have supermarket workers not been given higher priority in the vaccine list?

My daughter works in Asda every day, meeting hundreds of people – many not wearing masks, many not bothering with social distancing.

She is taking that risk for very low pay and little reward. And she will have to wait for months to get a mask. It was right we did the most vulnerable people first, the elderly and NHS staff. But surely other key workers should be next? And the rest of us who can work at home should wait.

Even social workers got a jump in the queue?

Most of them are working at home. We all need food shops to open so we should protect the staff. Nobody wants to work in an environment like a supermarket at the moment with masks.

It is awful.
