I HAVE heard recently that Covid-19 has helped promote a rise in dog ownership, but it has also caused a rise in irresponsible dog owners.
My wife and I often walk in our local park, stepping aside to allow said dog owners to pass by, as in social distancing.
We, more often than not, receive no thanks for our trouble, only to step in dog muck with frightening regularity.
Why oh, why should these ignorant people be allowed dogs in the first place?
Dog dirt causes blindness in children!
We have to spend money on cleansing wipes and mini bags to dispose of the muck from our boots.
Please, dog owners, be responsible.
Keep your dogs on leads, stay off your mobiles when walking them so you can see what they are doing and clean up after them!
