IT was good to read the story in last week's Globe with regards to Jayne Marston shedding three and a half stone before her son’s wedding through a change in diet.

A shining example to all of what can be achieved through sensible eating and healthy living.

However it was depressing to read in the same week that Wirral had achieved the unenviable accolade of taking the No.1 position in the 'UK's “Fat Towns League”, becoming Britain’s most overweight area.

This seemingly had been calculated through the fact that Wirral had the most Hospital admissions where ‘obesity’ was a factor (3,804) than anywhere in the UK.

Let’s see this as a New Year challenge and like Jayne make a positive change to ones lifestyle to get Wirral ‘fit not fat’ in 2021.
