THE stretch of unlit road from Caldy Sevens rugby ground to Heswall has recently been re-surfaced.

During the refurbishment the Cats Eyes have been removed.

This stretch of road has had many bad crashes over the years.

It’s a high speed, twisting and turning and unlit. I can’t believe this has been risk assessed correctly.

At night when a car comes towards you headlight blazing it’s very hard to see where you are going, the Cats Eyes are your only reference point until your eyes get back to seeing in the dark again.

Why was this extremely dangerous decision taken and by whom?
