AS a bereaved parent and childbereavement charity volunteer, I am concerned about all the mental-health problems developing owing to lock-down and people losing their jobs, children dying without family members present, elderly with dementia and people dying in hospices.

There has to be common sense, caring and compassion.

To lose a child is the worst thing of all.

I have asked the Government to give generously and increase the number of NHS beds available in mental health.

Children have been sent right across the country because there is a shortage of beds.

This is very difficult for the patient and the family.

Mental-health difficulties will develop, including PostTraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). I have written to Boris Johnson asking if he will be as generous as possible.

We are living in very challenging times and I have met some amazing people on my journey but resources are limited and we have to live with this virus until a vaccine is available.

I used to be a nurse at Westminster hospital and know about infection control and I know that HS resources are limited.

If we make a mistake, a £10,000 fine or going to prison will not help. Advice from the Government has been very confusing so far.

The doctors, nurses and people on the front line can only do so much - they need more resources from the Government.

We can get through this with hope and not fear.
