MY daughter was queuing with three older people outside Oakland’s Pharmacy at Heswall and Pensby Surgery on Monday August 10 when she became very faint and collapsed to the floor.

When she came around and discovered she had fainted, she was surprised to find the three people just staring at her.

Not one came to her aid or even asked if she was alright.

Indeed, the lady asked her "are you next in the queue?"

My daughter managed to get up by herself and went into the pharmacy, although she still felt unwell.

I was deeply distressed and angry that no one came to her assistance or even asked how she was.

Fear of catching covid is no excuse, they only needed to ask for assistance from the pharmacists.

They showed no concern or care at all.

I have no doubt that if any of those three people collapsed in the street, they and their loved ones would expect a decent citizen to come to their aid.

My daughter would not hesitate to do that. My daughter is a student nurse and one day might look after them in their hour of need.

Shame on them for leaving my child on the ground.
