BUS schedules for Arriva 409 and 413 services from Seacombe to Wallasey Village and Birkenhead via Arrowe Park respectively were reduced to an hourly service in March to meet the Corona Virus situation.

All other Arriva services in Wirral were returned back to their regular schedules some weeks ago, with exception of the 409 and 413 services.

These were both on a 30-minutes schedule before the Coronavirus change. Both services are very important to the people of Seacombe, especially pensioners without cars.

The 409 serves Liscard where many of the GP surgeries are located and the 413 serves Arrowe Park Hospital.

I contacted Mersey travel to complain and was given Arriva Customer Service in Luton, Bedfordshire who noted my complaint and told me Arriva North West customer service would call me.

This has not happened.

I’m still waiting and it appears that Arriva has used the Coronavirus pandemic to deny our Seacombe area of a decent bus service.

Waiting for the 409 in Liscard, I observed five buses to New Brighton in the duration of twenty minutes.
