WE went out to Hilbre Island for a walk yesterday.
It is never anything but the most beautiful of places that we can be blessed to have on our doorsteps.
However, I was disgusted to see a pile of doggie poo bags neatlystored in the fireplace of the old lifeboat station ruins.
A large stone had thoughtfully been put over them, perhaps so that they would not fly off?
We were among the last people on the island so it was unlikely someone was going to come back to collect their carefully stored waste.
Whoever you are, we cleaned up on your behalf. We collected two bags of plastic waste on and around Hilbre.
Please may I request everyone to please, please take your rubbish home so that we can all enjoy that beautiful place without plastic eyesores popping up.
