RE your article Cash boost for station access, which appeared in the Wirral Globe edition of March 4).
Birkenhead Central and Hamilton Square already have lifts; Ellesmere Port, New Brighton, West Kirby, Wallasey Grove Road and Birkenhead North (one side) have direct level accessibility.
Birkenhead Park, Bebington and Rock Ferry have inclined walkways that were added for accessibility.
What about Port Sunlight, Spital and the other stations that have only stairs?
No accessibility for invalids, with or without wheelchairs, people with prams, luggage, bags, etc.
I do not say that we should not improve the stations mentioned, but surely the first to be attended to must be those which do not meet the basic requirements.
