I HAVE noticed lately that more and more dogs are being allowed on buses and trains.

Unfortunately, some dog owners are not aware that people who are not dog lovers (half of the population) do not want a dog right next to them.

Surely, if you have a dog you are meant to walk it for exercise, rather than take it on a bus.

I have seen dog owners let their dog sit on the seat next to them.

This is unacceptable.

A dog should stay on the floor.

Apart from dog hairs going on the seat, there could be people on the bus who suffer from respiratory conditions such as asthma, which can be brought on by having a dog in an enclosed place.

Come on bus companies, you need to put a sign up on the bus saying 'no dogs allowed on the bus' (except for guide dogs).

I think I speak for a lot of people who feel the same as me.

Also, you shouldn't have to be 'stepping' around or over a dog that is in passageway, on a lead, on the bus.
