ON behalf of our mum we would like to express our heartfelt thanks for the kindness and integrity of the people who attended to her after a fall on Cross lane Bebington about 6.45pm on Monday, January 27.
It was a dark cold night.
Mum had just posted a letter and misplaced her footing and fell in the road. She must have been there for more than 15 minutes.
From what she can recall there was a gentleman (ex-police officer) and another gentleman who got blankets, called the ambulance, which was going to be three hours before it could get to her.
The ex-policeman went to her home and turned the fire, lights and TV off and secured her home.
She is sure there were other people who were there too, one of the lovely people took her to the hospital and she had sustained a broken shoulder.
She is back home and getting looked after and lots of TLC from family and a good neighbour called George checking on her.
We mostly hear of the bad things in neighbourhoods but this has absolutely been a wonderful act of kindness and like we said Integrity.
'Thank you' just doesn’t seem enough.
Also a big thanks to our free local paper Wirral Globe, where we can reach out to people and hopefully get this.
