AFTER our fabulous LCR Borough of Culture year, the culture and visitor economy team of Wirral Council wishes to continue to develop the volunteer support of creativity, culture and heritage in Wirral in 2020.
We are therefore hugely excited to working with Community Action Wirral and Voluntary Arts England to organise a fair that brings many of the organisations in the area into one venue.
The 2019 Borough of Culture programme achieved an audience of 400,000 residents and visitors over the course of the year.
Wirral now has a substantial track record in delivering major events and facilitating arts and cultural experiences of the highest quality which engaged new audiences through Imagine Wirral in 2018 and further developed during Wirral’s LCR Borough of Culture status in 2019.
In 2019, 267 volunteers provided 1,718 hours of their time to support Borough of Culture events and we are looking to further expand our cohort plus encourage the uptake of further volunteer opportunities with Community Action Wirral and partner organisations including Voluntary Arts England.
Come and visit stalls from local organisations who want you to get involved with creative, cultural, heritage and leisure activities.
