THE funding crisis in our schools is a scandal.
I've worked in secondary education for the last 13 years and the levels of underfunding now are seriously affecting my pupils' education.
This isn't good enough.
Britain is one of the richest countries on earth. We should be able to fund our children’s schools properly.
The impact of funding cuts on my school has meant that we can't afford to employ enough teaching assistants to help all the pupils with SEN needs.
Also, the windows in my classroom do not close properly which means that it is freezing in the winter.
Also, most of our rooms do not have blinds that work meaning that when it is sunny students struggle to see the board properly.
The only way we can win adequate funding for our schools is to make an informed vote for education on December 12, based on the facts.
