IT is heartbreaking to see people living rough in our communities, families dependent on food banks and the huge increase in the number of children living in poverty.
The result of nine years of heartless Tory governments who have increased the wealth of the richest through tax cuts for the highest earners, reduced corporation tax on companies who could well afford to pay more and cuts to inheritance tax for those who have benefited from the property boom that leaves our young people unable to get onto the property ladder.
History shows us that it is only Labour governments that deliver real change to improve the lives of us all as the existence of the NHS, the Equal Pay Act, The National Minimum Wage and other such radical Labour policies demonstrate.
I urge everyone who wants to live in a fairer, more compassionate society to vote Labour on December 12.
Sue Evans, Little Neston.
