I SAW an article in the Wirral Globe headlined 20mph speed limit.
It was for most of Chester’s city centre roads it was the latest phase of the Cheshire West & Chester Council's mission to curb driver speeds.
This needs to be looked at by Wirral Council too as I don’t know what is happening to drivers in Wirral.
People are not polite anymore.
They just barge through narrow roads forcing you to slow down or stop even when it is your right of way to go.
People are going faster all the time even in built up areas.
It doesn’t matter what the speed limits are people are going a lot higher than them and if you don’t they are tailgating you or beeping you or doing various signs at you.
The worst area locally for speeding is along the promenade at New Brighton.
I’ve even seen cars racing each other with no regard for anyone else on the road.
Sometimes you do see a police van but not often, perhaps speed cameras would be an idea.
Also the M53 is a total nightmare - cars driving too close and too fast and weaving in and out of traffic.
The Globe did a story more bobbies to be put on the beat, but we also need traffic police for our community too.
Concerned driver by email.
