ON Thursday, April 4, while walking between West Kirby and Red Rocks our whippet was bitten by one of a pair of brown and white spaniels, resulting in significant open tear to her side.
After the owner managed to put the spaniels on their leads she came over to see if our dog was okay and was obviously quite shocked to see the wound and gave me her phone number before I left to take our dog to the vet's.
Our whippet was immediately admitted for surgery and is making a good recovery, but unfortunately I've been unable to get through on the phone number I wrote down.
I would really like to get in touch with the owner of the spaniels, a lady with a teenage son, partly to let them know our whippet is recovering well and partly as she seemed anxious to want to help with any veterinary costs that may be incurred.
If anyone can help me trace the owner I would be very grateful.
