WITHOUT commenting on the termination of the Kingdom contract but more concentrating on how we as a borough can move forward on keeping our peninsula litter-free, could Wirral Council more strongly promote the idea that we all have a responsibility to pick up litter and not see it as someone else's job?
If every householder, business and public sector employer picked up litter from the front of their house, shop, business, school, library, medical and leisure centre etc, this would create a joined up litter prevention campaign and go a long way towards developing a pride in our borough's environment.
I know a lot of us already do this as individuals and litter-pick groups but if all Wirral's 300,000 residents picked up just one piece of litter a day I am sure we would soon have this problem binned.
