ON Monday, February 18, I carelessly left my wallet on the 12.52pm train from Liverpool Central to Ellesmere Port when I alighted at Birkenhead Central.
When I returned to Liverpool Central two hours later, the wallet was handed to me by the staff at the ticket barrier.
Some kind person had found it and handed it to the guard who handed it to the station staff.
I am grateful for, and impressed by, the honesty and public spirit of Wirral people.
Rev John Thackray, Ipswich.
