MATTERS of national importance will always overshadow local concerns, but it is very clear that our Wirral open spaces are now of greater importance in public opinion.
Discussions in private company, public pronouncements together with many published letters, articles and pamphlets all denounce the continued infringement on our more rural aspects.

It is now time that others in positions of responsibility for this matter, whether appointed or elected, make every effort to ensure that logic and justifiable reasons prevail, or else follow his example.
The final decision must meet the needs of the whole population of this peninsula; be they domestic, social, recreational or agricultural, as all have equal importance.
Future generations will either applaud their actions or be appalled at the way that they allowed circumstances to become so bad.
