LETTERS often appear in the Globe, critical of Wirral Borough Council.
However, I recently made a request through WBC environmental standards department for help in cutting back overgrown ivy and vegetation surrounding Eastham Parish Church boundary wall.
The overhang in places causing pedestrians to have to step into the roadway - particularly mums with pushchairs.
The action from Wirral Council was swift and well within their promised 15-day response time.
On behalf of parishioners and pedestrians many thanks and well done.
