TO the scum who cut through the lock of my son’s bike at the Bidston Tennis Centre...

My son is a decent, honest and hard-working lad.

While you're out thieving, he gained four good A-levels, won an apprenticeship and works hard in a shop until he starts it.

His bike was his means of transport to work; sometimes he opens the shop at 6am.

The day you took his bike he had delivered 200 papers, cut front and back lawns for his dad and then cycled to play football with his mates, only to come out and find scum had taken his bike.

That was a Christmas present last year from us and he was devastated to find it gone, then have to come home and tell us.

He loved his bike and looked after it, also rode it considerately and carefully.

Why don't you low-lives go and find a job yourselves, There are plenty of part time ones, instead of taking things people have worked hard for.

Do your parents know what you are up to?

I am proud of my son, of the lovely young man he has grown into.

Pity your parents will never be able to say the same about you.
