ON Monday morning, July 16, I had a fall in Greasby village while waiting for a bus.
A young man had witnessed this from across the road while shopping at the butchers and immediately rushed over to help me up.
He told me not to move until he returned with his van and then insisted on driving me home and escorting me to my front door.
I only know his name was Chris and I would like to thank him for his tremendous kindness.
My daughter did return to the butcher's shop the next day in the hope the staff may remember him as she also wished to thank him for his help.
I did end up having surgery for a broken hip at Arrowe Park Hospital but I will never forget Chris for his swift help that morning.
Hopefully, I'll spot him in the village sometime and be able to thank him personally.
Joyce Gribbin, Greasby
