ON Thursday, August 2, we took my seven-year-old granddaughter Zoe on the ferry to Liverpool.

She insisted on bringing her talking teddy bear Rooney with us.

We had a great day, we visited the Liverpool museum, had lunch there and then returned at around 3pm on the ferry.

On arrival at Seacombe Ferry she discovered Rooney had been left on the boat.

Lots of the staff did everything possible to get Rooney back.

Zoe cried for more than 30 minutes.

Low and behold we got a call from the staff two hours later to say Rooney had been found plus the bag of sweets next to it.

We cannot thank the staff enough plus lots of passengers on the boat for not taking Rooney home.

Seacombe Ferry - what a team - Zoe did take them a card and some biscuits to say thank you.
