I WOULD just like to tell you about a Tranmere Rovers player Mark Ellis, who lives local to me.
I have a seven-year-old disabled daughter Meghan, who has cerebral palsy.
She is non-verbal and cannot walk.
Mark has become friends with Meghan and, whenever he sees her, takes time to talk to her and generally make a fuss of her.
Meghan in turn recognises Mark now and makes eye contact with him and smiles at him.
There is a genuine connection.
Mark sees past Meghan’s disability.
It is heartwarming to see that someone with a busy schedule like Mark takes the time to show interest in Meghan.
Meghan would like to say a big thank you to Mark for being her friend.
