WHEN the fire chief was crying to get the new station built on Green Belt land it was all about getting to Hoylake in two minutes less than from Upton.
Surely, the time we need our firemen is when we are all at home liable to cause problems.
During the day we are awake and dressed and if problems arise we can leave our houses.
It is bad enough that we have no police stations in this part of Wirral now we are to put up with a part-time fire service at the wrong time.
Can you tell me please, has the asylum been taken over by the inmates?
