I would like to add my support to a letter in the Globe on July 18 under ‘Bike menace’.

I completely agree that it is becoming very difficult to dodge the bikes on pavements and the lack of consideration from some of the cyclists is truly appalling.

Also, some cyclists are ignoring the pedestrian crossing and cycling through red lights.

This has happened to me twice outside Morrisons in New Brighton and also at the top of Rowson Street.

Is there nothing that can be done to help and protect us pedestrians?
