CAN anybody in authority in the council tell me why we in Wirral have not got one of the magnificent pothole repair machines?
They have them in Oxfordshire, Cambridge and Lancashire.
They can do anything up to 60 potholes a day with only one man doing the job.
The machine blows out the debris and then blasts the hole with fire to dry it out.
After this the machine then fills in the hole with bitumen all within three to four minutes.
It would save the council a fortune and could even hire the machine out to other councils.
Oxfordshire have just bought another machine and completed 5,000 repairs last year.
How come our council is not interested or would it be better spending money on a golf course?
