I HAVE every sympathy with Edward Robertson regarding the loss of his bus service.
There is a similar problem here with the loss of the 112 service from New Ferry to Poulton Lancelyn.
This loss deprived New Ferry residents of access to the library, doctors, one stop shops, chemists and shops in Church Road, Lower Bebington.
Taxis are a great expense for the elderly and disabled who used this service.
Our councillor has been excellent in drawing the attention of the problem to the relevant authorities.
I also contacted the local MP but had little response.
Emails to Arriva and Merseytravel brought a reply that it is a commercial decision.
I did make a suggestion that the 410 could be slightly re-routed and could cover the route taken by the 112. This was met with a resounding silence.
Meanwhile folk are cut off from some vital services.
New Ferry has suffered enough blows recently.
This is nail in the coffin perhaps Arriva and Merseytravel could do something positive about this concern.
