THERE was precious little local cricket on a thoroughly wet May Saturday.

Few matches were completed and in fact the report from virtually everywhere was no play.

One exception came at Formby where the home side reached 47 without loss against Wallasey in the Premier Division of the Liverpool Competition before the elements took over.

Port Sunlight and Cholmondeley pressed on in the damp for a result in Division Three of the Cheshire League.

Sunlight reached 124-8 in twenty five overs and the visitors replied with 126-2.

In Division Two of the Cheshire County League there was just a brief spell of play between Mobberley and Upton before a halt was called.
