TRANMERE Rovers striker Adam McGurk has today signed a new one-year deal with the Club.

The 22-year old's new contract also includes a further one year option for Tranmere should they wish to extend it.

McGurk came to Prenton Park last summer after progressing through the youth system at Aston Villa. He made 24 appearances, scoring three goals, including the match winning strike at Bournemouth in April.

Manager Les Parry said: "I'm really pleased Adam will be with us again next season.

"He showed the real quality he has towards the end of the season with his goals against Bournemouth and Leyton Orient.

"Two of them were superb strikes from outside the area and the other was a real goal poacher's finish from close range.

"Adam has a lot of potential and, hopefully, will push on next season and get into double figures."

Adam added: "I'm happy to get my contract sorted so I can focus on next season.

"The last couple of months of the season went really well for me and hopefully I can carry that on."
