TRANMERE Rovers goalkeeper Luke McGee has been nominated for League Two player of the season at this year’s North West Football Awards.
The 29-year-old had an impressive debut season for Rovers, making 47 appearances and was voted by Tranmere supporters as the Club’s Player of the Season in 2023/24.
McGee’s success continued this season with the Rovers defence keeping three clean sheets in their opening four league fixtures of the 2024/25 campaign.
Speaking about his nomination, McGee, said: “It was a proud moment for me to win the supporters Player of the Season last year so for that now to be extended to the North West Football Awards is incredible.
“Although it is a personal accolade which I am grateful to be nominated for, it wouldn’t be possible without my team mates. We all worked hard last season to finish as high as we could following a rocky start.
“That hard work hasn’t stopped and I hope the supporters can see that with the start we have had so far.”
