A WIRRAL boxer has captured her third successive England Boxing National Schools Championship title.

14-year-old Letitia McKee, who boxes with the Birkenhead Venture club, was fighting at the Female Class B, Under 54kg weight at the Championships which were held in Newcastle over the weekend.

In the semi-final she beat Maryam Chniba by unanimous decision before repeating the feat in the final against Lily Lee.

At the beginning of the season, she claimed a silver medal in Maribor, Slovenia at the European Schools Championships to become the number two boxer in Europe.

She will now contest the Tri Nations Tournament in June with Wales, Scotland and a fellow England representative bidding to become the Champion of Britain and will then go onto this year's European Selection Camps with England.
