NESTON began their Cheshire County Premier League campaign with a home defeat to Nantwich.

Dom Smith starred with the bat for Neston, scoring 77 in their total of 167 all out but the visitors replied with 168-3 for a comfortable win.

Oxton were dismissed for 125 at Hyde who were made to work for their victory by Alistair Crick (3-21) and Jordon Collier (3-40) before securing a three wicket win.

In Division Two, Maritime posted 190 all out with Sawan Prabash Suwani Kankanange hitting 98 against Ashley. The visitors looked on course for the win until Thanippuli Wijewardana took 3-3 to seal a 16 run win. 

Chris McArthur top scored with 52 in Upton's Division Three clash with Hale Barnes as the hosts made 206 all out. David Williams (3-8) and Lee Dixon (3-25) wrapped up a 55 run win.
