TRANMERE Rovers manager Nigel Adkins and midfielder Kieron Morris have been nominated for the League Two Manager and Player of the Month awards for December.
Rovers enjoyed an upturn in results during the month after the experienced Adkins was made manager on a full time basis following a spell as caretaker.
During December Rovers achieved wins in four of their five league matches and a goal differential of 11-4.
Adkins' fellow nominees are Nigel Clough (Mansfield Town), Mat Sadler (Walsall) and Mike Williamson (MK Dons).
Morris had a hugely profitable December, scoring three goals and providing one assist as Rovers climbed the table. His fellow nominees are Macauley Langstaff (Notts County), Dean Lewington (MK Dons) and Ben Whitfield (Barrow).
The winners will be announced on Friday 12th January. The judging panel for each award comprises former Barnsley manager Danny Wilson, Sky Sports’ EFL expert Don Goodman, and Sky Bet EFL trader Ivor Davies.
