ASHVILLE FC enjoyed an unbeaten bank holiday weekend after progressing in the FA Vase and picking up a valuable away point in the NWCFL First Division South.
On Saturday, Villa faced New Mills at the Ray Parker Stadium in the FA Vase First Qualifying Round.
The hosts took the lead in the 14th minute through Tom Davies before doubling their advantage when Shaun Parrington converted from close range.
Kyle Hawley gave the visitors a lifeline just before half-time but Ashville took control after the break with goals from Ben Greenop and another two from Parrington to complete his hat-trick and a 5-1 win.
On bank holiday Monday, Ashville travelled to Manchester to face high-flying Abbey Hey.
Villa took the lead on 16 minutes from a header by skipper Lewis Willingham but the visitors were reduced to 10 men on the half hour when Parrington was dismissed for a second yellow card.
The hosts equalised on the stroke of half-time but a Max Williams penalty saw Villa regain the lead early in the second half as the home side also received a red card.
Abbey Hey drew level again on 66 minutes with a point a fair reflection of an action-packed game.
