NEW Brighton remain bottom of Liverpool and District Cricket Competition Premier League despite racking up over 300 runs against Colwyn Bay.

Dan Cooke was the star of the New Brighton innings, scoring 123 and putting on 111 for the fourth wicket with Suliman Safi (50) as the hosts reached a formidable 302-8 off 55 overs. The Welshmen then dug in for the draw as they closed on 105-8 with a frustrated Sukhjit Singh taking 6-27 from his 20 overs.

Wallasey are up to eighth in the table after a fourth win of the season against Rainhill. Matthew Keogh took 5-25 and Sumit Ruikar 3-57 as the visitors were bowled out for 151. Danny Beaver's unbeaten 70 made sure of a seven wicket victory. 

Birkenhead Park are second in Division One following a 74 run win over Old Xaverians. Satyajeet Bachhav (53) top scored for Park as they were dismissed for 160 before the same player compleated a brilliant all-round performance to take 5-16 as the hosts were bowled out for 86. Khalid Wahbi chipped in with 3-27. 

Caldy are one place above the relegation zone after a heavy defeat to visiting Spring View. Muhammad Ashraf smashed 103 off 72 balls as the away side reached 233 all out with Sachin Kumar Singh (4-77) and Piushan Gamekankanamge (3-23) the pick of the bowlers. In reply, Caldy could only make 68. 

In Division Two, Irby are still hunting for their second of the season after a miserable day at Norley Hall. James Green took 5-55 Smit Mehta 3-50 for the Wirral outfit as the hosts were dismissed for 152 but Irby's innings ended on 91.
