WIRRAL'S Faizan Abid smashed 130 in a remarkable game with Bunbury in Division One of the Cheshire Cricket League.

Abid's brilliant knock, along with 60 from skipper David Lewis, allowed Wirral to post 320-8 from their 45 overs. Andrew Slight (3-11) and Ian Mahers (3-26) led the way with the ball as Bunbury were bowled out for 177.

Old Parkonians were dismissed for 127 by Bredbury St Marks who reached the target for the loss of two wickets.

In Division Three, opener Darcy Ward hit 83 as Burton made 198-9 against Tranmere Victoria with Nitin Nagesh (4-55) and Tejpal Singh (3-51) the pick of the Vics bowlers. Gary Corner's 7-50 then sealed a 95 run victory for Burton. 

The Premier Division of the Southport and District League saw Skelmersdale post 231-7 off their 45 overs. Craig Hawthorne (55) and Liam Hirst (52no) both hit half-centuries but the hosts were bowled out for 208.
