A CHARITY rugby match in aid of people with testicular cancer will be held on Wirral this weekend.
The game between Anselmians RUFC and Rochdale RFC takes place on Saturday (February 18) is in aid of the Oddballs Foundation, which raises awareness of testicular cancer.
Kick-off is at 2.15pm at Anselmians RUFC in Eastham.
Anselmians will play in specially designed game shirts incorporating the Oddballs flower logo
The fundraising afternoon starts 12.30pm, with a raffle and entertainment.
Les Woolaston from Anselmians told the Globe: "The idea for a charity game formed, as many ideas do, in the clubhouse following a game.
"The game promises some great rugby as well as the chance for anyone on The Wirral affected by cancer, whether a rugby fan or not, to help raise funds to benefit the work of the Oddballs Foundation.
"Anselmians have three former players and club members who are in recovery from testicular cancer."
Anselmians will play in specially designed game shirts incorporating the Oddballs flower logo and the day will ensure that a significant contribution is made to the Oddballs Foundation.
