FOLLOWING serious training during the week, Wirral played competitive rugby to achieve the maximum points against a struggling Kirkby Lonsdale team.
Playing competitive rugby they achieved their try bonus point before half time with tries by Williams, Hearn, Long, Annetts and young Jacob Mitchell assisted by three conversions by James Annetts to lead 31-8 at half time.
In the second half, despite no score for 10 minutes and then a period of more expansive rugby, Tom Akehurst and George Burrows both scored doubles plus a further try by James Reeve coupled with four conversions by Dan Harvey.
Wirral remain in seventh place as they make ground on teams above, next week they play Sandbach away who lie only two places above them.
