NESTON’S Luke Camden struck 118 as his side played out a thrilling draw with Bowden in the Cheshire County Premier League.
Camden’s knock saw Neston reach 250-6 from their 55 overs but they couldn’t force the win after Bowden closed on 223-9 with three wickets apiece for Ashley Davies (3-66) and Luke Jones (3-51).
Oxton’s Joe Mennie claimed 5-30 with Jack Corran also taking 4-38 as Widnes were dismissed for 128 before an unbeaten 75 from Matthew Jones sealed a four wicket win.
In Division Two, Port Sunlight’s Simon Melberzs hit 50 out of the visitor’s total of 145 all out at Romiley. Melberzs then took 5-39 but the hosts clung on for a draw at 135-9 at the close.
Upton are bottom after a five-wicket loss at Hale Barns which saw the visitors post 144-9 off their 50 overs. before the hosts reached the target off 35 overs.
Division Three saw promotion-chasing Maritime lose narrowly at Hawk Green after Vensakar Kanthiraj took 5-32 for the visitors who were chasing 191 to win. Pratham Shetty hit 65 not out but they fell four runs short.
