NESTON won local bragging rights after beating Oxton in the Cheshire County Premier League.

Rowan Shelton starred with the ball for Neston, taking 6-57 as the visitors were dismissed for 123. A nervy chase saw Jordan Collier claim 4-35 before the hosts clinched a four wicket win.

In Division Two Port Sunlight's Steve Graham hit 73 as his side made 218 all out against Ashton on Mersey. Graham then took 4-65 with Simon Melberzs claiming 3-41 but the hosts hung on for the draw as they finished on 199-9. 

Upton are bottom after a four wicket defeat at Romiley with Dan Owen's 52 the highlight of their innings of 127 all out. Philip McGowan (3-44) and David Williams (3-30) made the home side work for the victory. 

Maritime are second in Division Three after a 10 wicket thrashing of Barnton. Hakeem Rauf (5-34) and Vishal Barigela (3-17) did the damage as the hosts were dismissed for 95. An unbeaten 50 from opener Julian Morris sealed the win.
