Wirral B bowls team
A TEAM from Wirral have carried off the The British Parks Crown Green Bowling Mens Veterans Inter County Championship after beating East Midlands in the final at Heswall RBL.
The victorious team was made up of Colin Saville (captain), Ken Stocker, Keith Wharton, Geoff McAdam, Ray Jones, Les Henderson, Mark Myles and Bill Jones.
A total of 12 county teams took part including Yorkshire and Warwickshire.
Birkenhead Park, Upton, Thingwall, Pensby and Heswall all provided their greens for use in the run up the final.
